Everything Covered in This Guide
The idea behind StreamKite is simple: you've recorded a video — a lofi music mix, a workout session, a tutorial series, an ambient nature scene — and you want it to stream live on YouTube, Twitch, and Kick simultaneously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without your PC running and without you being there. StreamKite does that. For $4.80 a month.
This guide explains every feature in detail — not marketing descriptions, but actual explanations of what each feature does, why it matters, and how to use it. If you're evaluating StreamKite as a streaming solution, this is the most complete single-source explanation of the platform available.

What Is StreamKite?
StreamKite is a cloud-based live streaming service that runs your pre-recorded video as a continuous live stream on your behalf — from servers in a data center, not from your home PC. You upload a video file once. StreamKite loops it, streams it to the platforms you configure, and handles everything that can go wrong: crashes, disconnections, encoder failures, network outages at the server level. None of these affect your stream because they're handled by infrastructure you don't manage.
The core use case: a creator who makes lofi music, ambient content, guided meditations, workout videos, educational replays, or any pre-recorded content that benefits from live stream distribution (watch time accumulation, category browse presence, live notification to subscribers) can run that content as a live stream permanently without investing in a dedicated streaming PC, without paying electricity costs for a machine that runs 24/7, and without sitting in front of a screen managing a stream.
StreamKite is the infrastructure layer that every 24/7 live streaming channel used to require a dedicated server to build. We've made it a PassKey you activate on your phone for less than the cost of two coffees a month.
StreamKite is not a live streaming platform — it doesn't host your stream or provide a player. It's a streaming engine that connects your pre-recorded video to the platforms your audience already uses: YouTube, Twitch, Kick, TikTok Live, Facebook, and 40+ others. Your viewers watch on their normal platform. You just never have to be there for the stream to be running.
How It Works — Step by Step
Get Your PassKey
Visit streamkite.live, choose a plan, and complete payment. Within minutes, your PassKey is emailed to you — a unique alphanumeric code that gives you access to your StreamKite dashboard. No account creation, no password, no confirmation flow. Your PassKey is your identity on the platform.
PassKey arrives by email within 5 minutes of purchase in most cases
Log In to Your Dashboard
Go to streamkite.live and enter your PassKey. The dashboard shows your stream slots, upload manager, scheduler, and platform configuration — all from a browser on any device. Mobile, tablet, laptop — the dashboard works everywhere. No app installation required.
Works on any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge
Configure Your Stream Slot
Each stream slot has three things to configure: the platform you're streaming to (paste in your RTMP URL and stream key from YouTube, Twitch, Kick, or any other supported platform), the video you want to stream (upload your pre-recorded file), and the schedule (loop 24/7 or use the Smart Scheduler for specific broadcast windows).
RTMP URL and stream key are found in your platform's Creator Dashboard / Studio
Upload Your Video
Upload your pre-recorded video file through the dashboard. StreamKite accepts MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, and most common video formats. The upload is a one-time action — you upload once and the file streams indefinitely until you replace it. Recommended format: H.264 encoded MP4 with AAC audio at 1080p.
StreamKite handles format conversion internally — most video files work without manual re-encoding
Start Streaming
Click Start on your slot. StreamKite's cloud servers begin streaming your video immediately to your configured platform via RTMP. Your YouTube or Twitch channel goes live. The stream runs 24/7 from the cloud. You can close your browser, turn off your PC, go to sleep — the stream continues independently. Crash recovery restarts it in under 5 seconds if anything interrupts it.
Stream is live on YouTube/Twitch within 30–60 seconds of clicking Start
Stream Slots — What They Are and How They Work
A stream slot is a single continuous live stream. Each slot can stream to one platform destination simultaneously — one RTMP output, one video source, one schedule configuration. Your plan determines how many slots you have. The starter plan at $4.80/month includes 3 slots.
Each slot is a complete, independent streaming engine. Slot 1 can be streaming lofi music to YouTube 24/7. Slot 2 can be streaming a tutorial series to Twitch on a schedule. Slot 3 can be streaming an ambient video to Kick during specific hours. All three run simultaneously, independently, with their own video files, platform destinations, and schedules — under one PassKey, for $4.80/month total.
3 slots in the base plan — that's 3 simultaneous live streams running from the cloud
Each slot is completely independent — different video, platform, schedule per slot
Slots can point to any RTMP-compatible platform — YouTube, Twitch, Kick, custom RTMP endpoints
Add-on slots available — need more than 3 streams? Addon slot packages extend your slot count without changing plan
Cost per slot: $1.60/month (3 slots ÷ $4.80) — competitive with any cloud VPS you'd configure manually
💡
The most effective use of 3 slots is to point them at different platforms simultaneously — YouTube on slot 1, Twitch on slot 2, Kick on slot 3, all streaming the same video. Your channel is live on three platforms simultaneously with one upload, for the same price. This multi-platform presence builds watch time, category browse visibility, and algorithmic authority on three separate platforms from a single pre-recorded video.
Smart Scheduler — Precise Broadcast Control
The Smart Scheduler lets you configure exactly when each slot is broadcasting. You can run a slot 24/7 (continuous loop), or define specific broadcast windows — "stream Monday to Friday, 8am–10pm" or "stream every Saturday and Sunday only" or "run this slot daily from 6pm to midnight." The scheduler handles start and stop automatically, with crash recovery active whenever the slot is scheduled to be running.
24/7 mode — slot runs continuously, loops video when it reaches the end, never stops until you stop it manually
Scheduled mode — define specific time windows per day of week; slot auto-starts and stops at scheduled times
Timezone-aware — set schedules in your local timezone; StreamKite converts to UTC internally
Per-slot scheduling — each slot has its own independent schedule; slot 1 can be 24/7 while slot 2 runs on a weekly schedule
Scheduler works while dashboard is closed — you don't need to be logged in for scheduled starts and stops to execute
📌
Why scheduled streaming matters for platforms: YouTube and Twitch generate better subscriber notification open rates when live streams are predictable — subscribers who know you go live at 9pm every weekday develop a viewing habit. The Smart Scheduler enables this consistency without requiring you to manually start the stream every session. Scheduled streams at consistent times accumulate loyal viewer audiences faster than irregular streaming patterns.
Crash Recovery — Under 5 Seconds, Automatic
Every cloud stream can encounter momentary failures — a brief network interruption between StreamKite's servers and the platform's ingest server, a server process restart, a temporary resource contention. StreamKite monitors each active slot continuously. When a stream interruption is detected, the recovery system restarts it automatically in under 5 seconds — without any notification to you, without any action required. Your viewers experience a brief gap and the stream is live again before most of them notice.
Continuous monitoring — each active slot is watched for interruption in real time
Sub-5-second restart — from interruption detection to stream resumed is under 5 seconds in normal conditions
Resumes from the correct position — stream picks up from approximately where it left off, not from the beginning of the video
No notification required — recovery happens silently; you can check the dashboard log to see any recovery events
Compare to manual streaming — an OBS crash requires you to be present, relaunch OBS, and restart the stream — typically 3–10+ minutes of downtime
StreamKite works with any platform that accepts an RTMP live stream input — which includes every major streaming platform. You configure a slot by entering that platform's RTMP URL and stream key (found in the platform's Creator Dashboard). StreamKite doesn't need special integration with each platform; it uses the universal RTMP protocol that all platforms support for live streams. This means as new platforms launch, they work with StreamKite immediately if they have RTMP support — no waiting for official integrations.
RTMP and RTMPS both supported — platforms requiring secure RTMP connections (port 443) are fully compatible
Custom RTMP endpoints supported — stream to a self-hosted nginx-rtmp relay, a CDN, or any private RTMP destination
No platform-specific limitations — StreamKite doesn't enforce per-platform rules; platform eligibility requirements are between you and the platform
One slot per platform destination — to stream simultaneously to YouTube AND Twitch AND Kick, you need 3 slots (one per destination)
Video Upload and Management
When you upload a video to a StreamKite slot, the file transfers to StreamKite's cloud storage. The stream is then served from StreamKite's infrastructure — not downloaded from your PC each time. This means your home internet connection isn't involved in the live stream at all after the initial upload. You could have 1 Mbps upload and still run a flawless 1080p/60fps stream as long as the upload completes (which can take as long as needed on a slow connection).
Supported formats: MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, FLV, WebM — most common video containers
Recommended format: MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio at 1080p, 4,000–8,000 kbps video bitrate
Playlist support: Add multiple videos to a slot's playlist — StreamKite loops through them in order automatically
Replace without downtime: Upload a new video to a running slot — the stream transitions to the new file at the end of the current video's loop without going offline
Video thumbnails generated: StreamKite generates a thumbnail from your video for identification in the dashboard
Instead of looping a single video indefinitely, you can build a playlist of videos for each slot. StreamKite plays through the playlist in order and then loops from the beginning — creating a longer, more varied content loop that feels less repetitive to regular viewers. A 4-video playlist of 1-hour segments creates a 4-hour unique loop before it repeats — most viewers will never see the seam.
Reorder playlist from the dashboard — drag to rearrange without interrupting the stream
Longer loops — a 4-video playlist with 60-minute videos creates a 4-hour unique cycle before repeating
Seasonal or event rotation — add a special video to the playlist for a holiday period, remove it after, without touching the main content
Pricing — $4.80/Month Explained
StreamKite's pricing is built around stream slots. Every plan includes the same feature set — Smart Scheduler, crash recovery, multi-platform support, playlist management, and dashboard access. The only difference between plans is how many simultaneous streams you can run.

💡
No subscription auto-billing. StreamKite uses a PassKey system where you purchase access for a specific period. There's no credit card stored, no automatic renewal charge — your access runs for the purchased period and you choose to renew manually. This means you're never charged unexpectedly, and you can try StreamKite for a month without committing to ongoing payments.
The PassKey System — Access Without Accounts
StreamKite doesn't use traditional accounts with usernames and passwords. Instead, it uses a PassKey — a unique alphanumeric code that acts as both your identity and your credential on the platform. This is a deliberate design decision that makes the platform faster to access, eliminates the "forgot password" problem entirely, and means there's no account database full of credentials to compromise.
🔑 Your PassKey — How It Works
A PassKey is a unique code like SF-S3-A4B8C2D1 that you receive by email when you purchase a plan
📧Delivered by Email
Your PassKey arrives in your inbox within minutes of purchasing. It's a single code — keep it somewhere accessible. If you lose it, contact support with your purchase receipt to recover it.
🔓Login Without Password
Go to streamkite.live, enter your PassKey in the login field. That's it. No email + password combination, no 2FA to set up, no profile to fill in. Your PassKey is all you need.
📱Works on Any Device
Log in from your phone, laptop, tablet, or any computer — the dashboard is browser-based and fully mobile responsive. Your streams continue whether you're logged in or not.
🔒Keep It Private
Your PassKey is your private credential. Don't share it — it gives full control of your stream slots. StreamKite staff will never ask for your PassKey in any support interaction.
🎁Gift PassKeys Available
StreamKite offers gift PassKeys — you can purchase streaming access as a gift for another creator. The recipient receives a PassKey by email that activates their slots without any purchase required on their end.
♻️Renewal PassKeys
When your PassKey period ends, you purchase a renewal PassKey (a different key format: RNST-*). Applying it extends your access. Your slot configurations, uploaded videos, and settings are preserved across renewals.

StreamKite vs Alternatives
There are several ways to run a 24/7 live stream — a dedicated VPS with manual nginx-rtmp setup, a restreaming service, or paying for a more expensive managed service. Here's how StreamKite compares honestly:

The DIY VPS approach can match StreamKite's cost if you already have server administration skills, have time to set up and maintain the infrastructure, and don't need a dashboard UI. StreamKite is the right choice if you want the reliability and features of a managed service without the technical overhead — or if you want to start streaming today rather than spending a weekend configuring nginx on a Linux server.
How to Get Started — From Zero to Live in 15 Minutes
1
Visit streamkite.live and choose a plan
Go to streamkite.live/pricing.html and select the plan that fits your needs. The Starter plan at $4.80/month is the right starting point for most creators — 3 slots is enough to stream to YouTube, Twitch, and Kick simultaneously from one video file.
Most creators start with Starter and add addon slots later if needed
2
Complete payment — receive your PassKey by email
After payment, your PassKey is generated and emailed to you. Check your inbox (and spam folder) within 5–10 minutes. The email contains your PassKey code and a direct link to the dashboard login page. Keep the PassKey email — it's your access credential.
PassKey format example: SF-S3-A4B8C2D1E5F6
3
Log into your dashboard and open Slot 1
Go to streamkite.live and enter your PassKey. You'll see your 3 slots in the dashboard. Click on Slot 1 to open its configuration. You'll see three sections: Platform Configuration (where to stream), Video Upload (what to stream), and Scheduler (when to stream).
4
Get your platform RTMP URL and stream key
For YouTube: YouTube Studio → Go Live → Stream → copy the "Stream URL" and "Stream Key." For Twitch: Creator Dashboard → Settings → Stream → copy "Primary Stream Key" and the ingest server URL. For Kick: Creator Dashboard → Stream → copy stream key and RTMP URL. These two values go into the Platform Configuration section of your slot.
YouTube RTMP URL: rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2/ — stream key is separate from the URL
5
Upload your pre-recorded video
In the Video Upload section of the slot, click Upload and select your video file. For best results: MP4 format, H.264 encoding, AAC audio, 1080p resolution, 4,000–8,000 kbps video bitrate. The upload may take several minutes depending on your file size and internet speed. StreamKite processes the file on its servers.
File size: a 1-hour 1080p video at 6,000 kbps is approximately 2.7 GB
6
Configure your schedule and start the stream
Choose 24/7 continuous mode or set specific broadcast hours in the Scheduler section. Then click Start Stream. Within 30–60 seconds, go to your YouTube channel or Twitch page — you'll see your channel is live. The stream is running from StreamKite's cloud infrastructure. You can close the browser tab; the stream continues independently.
Check your platform's live dashboard to confirm the stream is visible — look for the "LIVE" badge on your channel
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I stream to multiple platforms with one slot?
No — one slot streams to one RTMP destination. To stream the same video to YouTube AND Twitch simultaneously, you need two slots. On the Starter plan with 3 slots, you can stream to 3 different platforms at the same time from the same video file.
Does StreamKite work with YouTube's "live" eligibility requirements?
StreamKite uses standard RTMP — the same protocol as OBS, Streamlabs, and any other streaming software. Any platform that accepts RTMP live streams accepts StreamKite's output. YouTube's eligibility requirements (1,000 subscribers for mobile live, no requirements for desktop/streaming software) apply to your channel, not to StreamKite specifically.
What happens when the video ends?
StreamKite automatically loops the video from the beginning when it reaches the end. The stream never ends — it runs continuously until you stop it manually or a scheduled stop time is reached. If you have multiple videos in a playlist, StreamKite advances to the next video automatically.
Does StreamKite work with YouTube's ToS for live streaming?
Streaming pre-recorded content as a "live stream" is permitted on YouTube — major brands and most 24/7 lofi channels do exactly this. YouTube's Terms of Service prohibit deceptive practices but do not prohibit pre-recorded content broadcast via live stream. The lofi girl channel, the most-watched continuous stream in YouTube history, broadcasts pre-recorded animation. StreamKite is the infrastructure that enables this for independent creators.
What video quality can I stream at?
StreamKite streams at whatever quality you upload. If you upload a 1080p/60fps file at 8,000 kbps, StreamKite streams it at 1080p/60fps at 8,000 kbps. There's no StreamKite-imposed quality ceiling below platform maximums (Twitch caps at 6,000 kbps; YouTube supports up to 1440p).
Can I change the video while the stream is running?
Yes — you can upload a new video to a running slot. StreamKite transitions to the new video at the end of the current video's loop cycle, keeping the stream live throughout. You can also reorder or add to a playlist while a slot is running.
What happens to my configurations if I don't renew?
When your PassKey period expires, your slots stop streaming. Your uploaded videos and slot configurations are preserved for a period after expiry. When you purchase a renewal PassKey and apply it, your previous configurations are restored and streams can be restarted immediately.
Is there a free trial?
StreamKite doesn't offer a free trial at this time — but at $4.80/month, the first month itself is effectively a low-risk trial. The PassKey system means there's no auto-renewal to cancel, so there's no commitment beyond the initial purchase period.
