Cookie Policy

We believe in total transparency. StreamKite uses the bare minimum of browser storage — only what's genuinely needed for the platform to function. No advertising trackers, no third-party surveillance, no cookie walls. Just honest infrastructure for serious streamers.

Section 01 · Basics
What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed in your browser when you visit a website. They allow a site to remember certain information — like whether you're logged in — across page loads and visits. Cookies are not programs and cannot execute code or carry viruses. They simply store small pieces of data.

Not everything stored in your browser is a cookie. Modern websites also use localStorage and sessionStorage — these work similarly but are never automatically sent to a server the way cookies are. We use these for UI preferences like your timezone and theme settings.

📋
Section 02 · Full Disclosure
Cookies We Use

StreamKite sets only strictly necessary cookies — the minimum required for the platform to function securely. The complete list is below.

That's the entire list. Two strictly necessary cookies. Both are HttpOnly (inaccessible to JavaScript) and SameSite=Strict (never sent on cross-site requests). No analytics cookies. No advertising cookies. No third-party cookies from our side.

Section 03 · Commitments
What We Don't Do

We want to be completely clear about the things StreamKite will never do with cookies or browser storage:

  • We do not use advertising or marketing cookies of any kind
  • We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts
  • We do not build behavioural profiles or track you across other websites
  • We do not sell, rent, or share cookie data with advertisers or data brokers
  • We do not use cookies to target you with personalised ads anywhere on the internet
  • We do not use "fingerprinting" or other methods to identify you outside of our platform
  • We do not embed social media tracking widgets (Facebook Like buttons, Twitter/X share buttons, etc.) that set third-party cookies without your knowledge
ℹ️

StreamKite is an infrastructure tool for content creators — not an advertising platform. Our business model is subscriptions, not data. We have no commercial interest in tracking you beyond delivering the service you pay for.

Section 04 · Browser Storage
Local Storage & Preferences

In addition to cookies, StreamKite's dashboard uses your browser's localStorage to remember interface preferences. Unlike cookies, localStorage data is never automatically sent to our servers — it stays entirely in your browser unless you take an explicit action to sync it.

We use localStorage to remember:

  • Your selected timezone (so your scheduled streams fire at the right time in your local time)
  • Your dashboard theme preference (dark or light mode)
  • Your stream slot identifiers and access keys (stored locally for convenience, never transmitted in background requests)
  • UI layout and view preferences

All locally stored data can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data for streamkite.live. This will not affect your actual stream slots or account — those are stored server-side and tied to your access key.

💳
Section 05 · Third Parties
Payment Processors

StreamKite uses third-party payment processors to handle all financial transactions securely. When you complete a purchase, you are redirected to or interact with their checkout interface. These processors may set their own cookies as part of their fraud prevention and payment security systems — this is governed entirely by their own privacy policies, not ours.

Any cookies set during the payment checkout flow are set by these third-party processors for fraud prevention and PCI-DSS compliance purposes. StreamKite does not have access to or control over these cookies. Please review the respective privacy policies linked above for full details.

📊
Section 06 · Transparency
Server-Side Access Logging

Like every web server on the internet, StreamKite maintains server-side access logs. These are not cookies — they don't live in your browser and you cannot clear them from your end. They are recorded on our infrastructure when your browser makes a request to our servers.

Our access logs record the following for each request:

  • Your IP address
  • The page or resource requested
  • The referring URL (if your browser sends one)
  • Your browser's user agent string (browser type and operating system)
  • The date and time of the request

This data is used exclusively for:

  • Platform security — detecting and blocking automated scanning, brute-force attempts, and malicious traffic
  • Abuse prevention — identifying patterns consistent with platform misuse
  • Infrastructure performance monitoring
  • Diagnosing technical issues
🗑️

Automatic retention limit: all server-side access logs are automatically deleted after 60 days. We do not retain historical access data beyond this window, and we do not share access log data with third parties except where required by law.

⚖️
Section 07 · Your Rights
Your Rights Under Data Protection Law

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights under applicable data protection legislation (including GDPR for EU/UK residents and similar laws in other jurisdictions). These rights include:

  • Right of access — you may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
  • Right of erasure — you may request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legitimate interest in security and fraud prevention
  • Right to object — you may object to processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interest as our legal basis
  • Right of rectification — you may request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Right to data portability — you may request your data in a portable format where technically feasible

Since StreamKite's strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR Article 6(1)(b) (necessary for the performance of a contract), we do not present a cookie consent banner. However, this does not affect your other data subject rights listed above.

📩

To exercise any of these rights or to ask questions about how your data is handled, contact us via our support system. We aim to respond to all data-related requests within 30 days.

Section 08 · Control
Managing & Deleting Cookies

You have full control over cookies in your browser. You can view, block, or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings. Note that blocking or deleting StreamKite's strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from staying logged in to your dashboard.

Instructions for the most common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

To clear only StreamKite's cookies without affecting other sites, use your browser's "Manage website data" or "Site settings" feature and search for streamkite.live.

📅
Section 09 · Maintenance
Policy Updates

This Cookie Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the bottom of this page.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of StreamKite after any update constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised policy. If we ever introduce new categories of cookies — for example, optional analytics cookies — we will update this policy and, where required by law, seek your explicit consent before setting them.

We will never silently introduce advertising or tracking cookies without updating this document and notifying users. That is a commitment, not just a legal formality.
